Technology Committee
Mission
The mission of the technology committee is to administer and manage the online presence, accounts, and software for Keystone GIS, and coordinate online content with other committees and organizations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage the Keystone GIS Wild Apricot website, including domain renewal
- Administer and manage the Keystone GIS ArcGIS Online account
- Administer and manage productivity software and associated users, including Google Workplace (includes email accounts), Trello, and Zoom
- Coordinate website content updates with the Board, Committees, and partner organizations
- Coordinate with Board and Committees on content developed for ArcGIS Online
- Aid the Board with making decisions related to technology resources, including researching technology solutions
- Ensure that all software, data, documents, and member personal information are secure and properly backed up and archived
- Ensure that all digital content is accessible and available to diverse audiences
Goals and Tasks
- Enhance and improve the Keystone GIS web site accessibility and experience
- Complete the Keystone GIS Member Map in ArcGIS Online
- Update the ArcGIS Online Keystone GIS Organization home page
- Contact Esri about creating a generic user account for ArcGIS Online or to increase the number of users and get My Esri updated for the organization
- Recruit at-large Keystone GIS members to join the Technology Committee who can develop new content and help manage software
- Explore Google Meet platform to replace Zoom
- Complete migration from Microsoft Teams to Google Workplace
- Update Keystone GIS Leadership Story Map
- Evaluate the technology implications of a potential organization name change
