HB 2300 Update

To the disappointment of many of the people interested and active in the geospatial community in Pennsylvania, HB 2300 was not passed.  Much work and effort was given to making a Geospatial Coordinating Council a reality.

There continues to be a strong consensus that we need to strive to work together toward the formation of a statewide Geospatial Coordinating Council.  A group of volunteers has diligently put together a Corbett Transition Team White Paper to deliver to Governor-elect Tom Corbett.  The goal of this paper identifies a few areas where we see a need for leadership from the new administration.  The white paper also presents one clear "ask", or request, to be made to the new governor.
